Sr. Software Engineer

Position Summary:

Seeking strong Senior level Software Engineer who can design, develop, and integrate custom applications.  An ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing,and implementing sophisticated software architectures and will have been directly responsible for architecting and developing software, leading and participating in technical discussions with the stakeholders.  This position requires a detail-oriented individual who has excellent communication skills, is a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

•                     A BSEE or BSCS or equivalent is required.

•                     3-5 years of successful leadership experience

•                     3-5 years of software architecture, design and development experience

•                     Fluency in Java and Kotlin development

•                     1-3 years of experience in developing solutions using AWS services

•                     Android Automotive OS and/or Android Auto templated app development experience

•                     Experience with mapping and location technologies, telematics

Preferred Qualifications:

•                     5-10 years of experience in Java, Kotlin, C++, Python and Flutter development

•                     Extensive knowledge of HERE OLP/Workspace, OLP APIs, GIS/Mapping

•                     1-3 years of experience in architecting solutions using AWS services

•                     AWS Associate or Specialty level certified

•                     1-3 years of experience in database management

•                     3-5 years of embedded application development experience

•                     Strong knowledge and experience in common architectural principles and design patterns.

•                     Experience writing high-performance, secure, reusable, and reliable applications

•                     Strong knowledge and experience in Android Automotive OS, Windows, and Linux OS.

•                     Working knowledge of XML, JSON, HTML, REST, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence

•                     Experience with Agile software development

Duties and Responsibilities:

•                     Architect AAOS, Windows, and Linux based solutions based on client requirements

•                     Participate in technical discussions with the client demonstrate technical leadership and provide in-depth technical input as needed.

•                     Collaborate with the Project Manager and help with the project planning activities.

•                     Collaborate with our team of engineers and create innovative solutions to client requirements.

•                     Architecting and implementing Mapping solutions and other custom applications.

•                     Implement backend solutions using AWS services

•                     Mentor and guide newer team members on various projects

•                     Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
